When travelling

أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللهَ دِينَكَ وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ

Astawdiʿullāha dīnaka wa amānataka wa khawātīma ʿamalik.

I entrust Allah with your religion, your trust, and the concluding deeds of your life.

When travelling

بِسْمِ اللهِ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Bismillāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh. Subḥānal-ladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahu muqrinīn, wa innā ilā rabbinā lamunqalibūn. Al-ḥamdu lillāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh, Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar. Subḥānaka innī ẓalamtu nafsī faghfir lī, fa innahu lā yaghfiruḍ-dhunūba illā ant.

In the name of Allah, and praise be to Allah. Glory is to He Who has subjected this to us, and we were not able to do it ourselves. And indeed, to our Lord we will return. Praise be to Allah (×3). Allah is the greatest (×3). Glory is to You — I have wronged myself, so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.

When travelling

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ سَاجِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ، صَدَقَ اللهُ وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ

Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamd wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr. Āyibūna tāʾibūna ʿābidūna sājidūna lirabbinā ḥāmidūn. Ṣadaqallāhu waʿdahu wa naṣara ʿabdahu wa hazamal-aḥzāba waḥdah.

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belong all sovereignty and all praise, and He is able to do all things. We are returning, repenting, worshipping, prostrating, and praising our Lord. Allah fulfilled His promise, aided His servant, and alone defeated the confederates.

When travelling

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَظْلَلْنَ، وَرَبَّ الْأَرَضِينَ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَقْلَلْنَ، وَرَبَّ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَمَا أَضْلَلْنَ، وَرَبَّ الرِّيَاحِ وَمَا ذَرَيْنَ، أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ وَخَيْرَ أَهْلِهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا فِيهَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ أَهْلِهَا وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهَا

Allāhumma rabbas-samāwātis-sabʿi wa mā aẓlalna, wa rabbal-arāḍīnas-sabʿi wa mā aqlaln, wa rabbashshayāṭīni wa mā aḍlaln, wa rabbar-riyāḥi wa mā dharayn, asʾaluka khayra hādhihil-qaryati wa khayra ahliha wa khayra mā fīhā, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharrihā wa sharri ahliha wa sharri mā fīhā.

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and what they shade, Lord of the seven earths and what they carry, Lord of the devils and those they lead astray, Lord of the winds and what they scatter — I ask You for the good of this town and the good of its people and the good within it, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of its people and the evil within it.

When travelling

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

Aʿūdhu bikalimātillāhit-tāmmāti min sharri mā khalaq.

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
