At the adhan

يَقُولُ مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ

Yaqūlu mithla mā yaqūlul-muʾadhdhin.

Repeat what the muadhdhin says — except at the two hayya'alas, where you say: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (There is no might nor power except with Allah).

At the adhan

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ، وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ

Allāhumma rabba hādhihid-daʿwatit-tāmmah, was-ṣalātil-qāʾimah, āti muḥammadanil-wasīlata wal-faḍīlah, wabʿath-hu maqāman maḥmūdanil-ladhī waʿadtah.

O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and of the prayer that is about to be established, grant Muhammad the wasilah and the virtue, and raise him to the praised station that You have promised him.

At the adhan

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ

Allāhumma innī asʾalukal-ʿāfiyata fid-dunyā wal-ākhirah.

O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the next.

During the prayer

اللَّهُمَّ بَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَايَ كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ، اللَّهُمَّ نَقِّنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ

Allāhumma bāʿid baynī wa bayna khaṭāyāya kamā bāʿadta baynal-mashriqi wal-maghrib. Allāhumma naqqinī min khaṭāyāya kamā yunaqqath-thawbul-abyaḍu minad-danas. Allāhummaghsilnī min khaṭāyāya bil-māʾi wath-thalji wal-barad.

O Allah, set me apart from my sins as the East and West are set apart from each other. O Allah, clean me from sins as a white garment is cleaned of dirt. O Allah, wash away my sins with water, snow and hail.

During the prayer

وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا، وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ. إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ. اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَنْتَ رَبِّي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَاعْتَرَفْتُ بِذَنْبِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي جَمِيعًا، إِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ. وَاهْدِنِي لِأَحْسَنِ الْأَخْلَاقِ لَا يَهْدِي لِأَحْسَنِهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ، وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّي سَيِّئَهَا لَا يَصْرِفُ عَنِّي سَيِّئَهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ. لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ، وَالْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ فِي يَدَيْكَ، وَالشَّرُّ لَيْسَ إِلَيْكَ، أَنَا بِكَ وَإِلَيْكَ، تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ

Wajjahtu wajhiya lilladhī faṭaras-samāwāti wal-arḍa ḥanīfan, wa mā anā minal-mushrikīn. Inna ṣalātī wa nusukī wa maḥyāya wa mamātī lillāhi rabbil-ʿālamīn, lā sharīka lah, wa bidhālika umirtu wa anā minal-muslimīn. Allāhumma antal-maliku lā ilāha illā ant, anta rabbī wa anā ʿabduk, ẓalamtu nafsī waʿtaraftu bidhanbī, faghfir lī dhunūbī jamīʿan, innahū lā yaghfiruḍ-dhunūba illā ant. Wahdinī liʾaḥsanil-akhlāqi lā yahdī liʾaḥsanihā illā ant, waṣrif ʿannī sayyiʾahā lā yaṣrifu ʿannī sayyiʾahā illā ant. Labbayka wa saʿdayk, wal-khayru kulluhu fī yadayk, wash-sharru laysa ilayk, anā bika wa ilayk, tabārakta wa taʿālayt, astaghfiruka wa atūbu ilayk.

I have turned my face sincerely towards He who created the heavens and the earth, and I am not of the polytheists. My prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah, Lord of the worlds, with no partner. This is what I was commanded and I am of those who submit. O Allah, You are the King, none has the right to be worshipped but You. You are my Lord and I am Your slave. I have wronged myself and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me all my sins, for none forgives sins but You. Guide me to the best of character, for none guides to the best of it but You, and turn away from me its worst, for none turns away from me its worst but You. Here I am, in answer to Your call, happy to serve You. All good is in Your hands and evil does not pertain to You. I exist by Your will and will return to You. Blessed are You and exalted. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You.

During the prayer

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ جِبْرَائِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإِسْرَافِيلَ، فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ، أَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ، اهْدِنِي لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِكَ، إِنَّكَ تَهْدِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ

Allāhumma rabba jibrāʾīla wa mīkāʾīla wa isrāfīl, fāṭiris-samāwāti wal-arḍ, ʿālimal-ghaybi wash-shahādah, anta taḥkumu bayna ʿibādika fīmā kānū fīhi yakhtalifūn, ihdinī limakhtalifa fīhi minal-ḥaqqi biʾidhnik, innaka tahdī man tashāʾu ilā ṣirāṭin mustaqīm.

O Allah, Lord of Jibra'il, Mika'il and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the seen and unseen. You judge between Your servants in that which they used to differ. Guide me with Your permission to the truth in that which has been differed about, for You guide whomever You will to a straight path.

During the prayer

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ قَيَّامُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ، وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ، وَقَوْلُكَ حَقٌّ، وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّبِيُّونَ حَقٌّ، وَمُحَمَّدٌ حَقٌّ، وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ. اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ، أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Allāhumma lakal-ḥamd, anta nūrus-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa man fīhinn. Wa lakal-ḥamd, anta qayyāmus-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa man fīhinn. Wa lakal-ḥamd, anta rabbus-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa man fīhinn. Wa lakal-ḥamd, antal-ḥaqq, wa waʿduka-l-ḥaqq, wa liqāʾuka ḥaqq, wa qawluka ḥaqq, wal-jannatu ḥaqq, wan-nāru ḥaqq, wan-nabiyyūna ḥaqq, wa muḥammadun ḥaqq, was-sāʿatu ḥaqq. Allāhumma laka aslamtu, wa bika āmantu, wa ʿalayka tawakkaltu, wa ilayka anabtu, wa bika khāṣamtu, wa ilayka ḥākamtu, faghfir lī mā qaddamtu wa mā akhkhartu, wa mā asrartu wa mā aʿlant, antal-muqaddimu wa antal-muʾakhkhir, lā ilāha illā ant.

O Allah, all praise is for You. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. All praise is for You; You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all they contain. All praise is for You; You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all they contain. You are the Truth, Your promise is truth, Your meeting is truth, Your word is truth, Paradise is truth, Hellfire is truth, the Prophets are truth, Muhammad is truth, and the Hour is truth. O Allah, to You I have submitted, in You I have believed, in You I have placed my trust, to You I have turned in repentance, by Your help I have argued, and to You I have turned for judgment. Forgive me my past and future sins, what I have hidden and what I have proclaimed. You are the One who brings forward and You are the One who delays. None has the right to be worshipped but You.

During the prayer

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ

Subḥāna rabbiyal-ʿaẓīm.

Glory is to my Lord, the Most Great.

During the prayer

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى

Subḥāna rabbiyal-aʿlā.

Glory is to my Lord, the Most High.

During the prayer

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي

Subḥānaka Allāhumma rabbanā wa biḥamdik, Allāhummaghfir lī.

Glory is to You, O Allah, our Lord, and praise. O Allah, forgive me.

During the prayer

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ، رَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ

Subbūḥun quddūs, rabbul-malāʾikati war-rūḥ.

Perfect, Holy, Lord of the angels and the Spirit.

During the prayer

رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ

Rabbanā wa lakal-ḥamd, ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban mubārakan fīh.

Our Lord, and to You is all praise, abundant, good and blessed praise.

During the prayer

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي كُلَّهُ، دِقَّهُ وَجِلَّهُ، وَأَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ، وَعَلَانِيَتَهُ وَسِرَّهُ

Allāhummaghfir lī dhanbī kullahu, diqqahu wa jillah, wa awwalahu wa ākhirah, wa ʿalāniyatahu wa sirrah.

O Allah, forgive me all my sins: the small and the great, the first and the last, the open and the secret.

During the prayer

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ، لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ، أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu biriḍāka min sakhaṭik, wa bimuʿāfātika min ʿuqūbatik, wa aʿūdhu bika mink, lā uḥṣī thanāʾan ʿalayk, anta kamā athnayta ʿalā nafsik.

O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, and in Your pardon from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot enumerate Your praise. You are as You have praised Yourself.

During the prayer

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَاجْبُرْنِي، وَعَافِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي، وَارْفَعْنِي

Allāhummaghfir lī, warḥamnī, wahdinī, wajburnī, waʿāfinī, warzuqnī, warfaʿnī.

O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, strengthen me, give me well-being, provide for me, and raise me.

During the prayer

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min ʿadhābil-qabr, wa min ʿadhābi jahannama, wa min fitnatil-maḥyā wal-mamāt, wa min sharri fitnatil-masīḥid-dajjāl.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the punishment of Hellfire, from the tribulation of life and death, and from the evil of the tribulation of the False Messiah.

During the prayer

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا، وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، وَارْحَمْنِي، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

Allāhumma innī ẓalamtu nafsī ẓulman kathīran, wa lā yaghfiruḍ-dhunūba illā ant, faghfir lī maghfiratan min ʿindik, warḥamnī, innaka antal-ghafūrur-raḥīm.

O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself and none forgives sins but You, so grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me. Truly, You are the Forgiving, the Merciful.

After the prayer

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ. اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

Astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh. Allāhumma antas-salām, wa minkas-salām, tabārakta yā dhal-jalāli wal-ikrām.

I seek the forgiveness of Allah (three times). O Allah, You are Peace and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honour.

After the prayer

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ. اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ

Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamd wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr. Allāhumma lā māniʿa limā aʿṭayt, wa lā muʿṭiya limā manaʿt, wa lā yanfaʿu dhal-jaddi minkal-jadd.

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things. O Allah, there is none who can withhold what You give, and none who can give what You withhold, and the wealth of the wealthy person does not benefit him against You.

After the prayer

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ

Subḥānallāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh, Allāhu akbar.

Glory is to Allah. All praise is for Allah. Allah is the greatest.

During the prayer

التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

At-taḥiyyātu lillāhi waṣ-ṣalawātu waṭ-ṭayyibāt. As-salāmu ʿalayka ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh. As-salāmu ʿalaynā wa ʿalā ʿibādillāhiṣ-ṣāliḥīn. Ash-hadu an lā ilāha illallāh wa ash-hadu anna muḥammadan ʿabduhu wa rasūluh.

All salutations, prayers and good words are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

During the prayer

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ، اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli muḥammad, kamā ṣallayta ʿalā ibrāhīma wa ʿalā āli ibrāhīm, innaka ḥamīdun majīd. Allāhumma bārik ʿalā muḥammadin wa ʿalā āli muḥammad, kamā bārakta ʿalā ibrāhīma wa ʿalā āli ibrāhīm, innaka ḥamīdun majīd.

O Allah! Send Your Mercy on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your Mercy on Ibrahim and on the family of Ibrahim, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious. O Allah! Send Your Blessings on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your Blessings on Ibrahim and on the family of Ibrahim, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ، وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ، وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ. اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي، فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ. وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ شَرٌّ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي، فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ، وَاقْدُرْ لِي الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ ثُمَّ أَرْضِنِي بِهِ

Allāhumma innī astakhīruka biʿilmik, wa astaqdiruka biqudratik, wa asʾaluka min faḍlikal-ʿaẓīm. Fa innaka taqdiru wa lā aqdiru, wa taʿlamu wa lā aʿlam, wa anta ʿallāmul-ghuyūb. Allāhumma in kunta taʿlamu anna hādhal-amra khayrun lī fī dīnī wa maʿāshī wa ʿāqibati amrī, faqdurhu lī wa yassirhu lī thumma bārik lī fīh. Wa in kunta taʿlamu anna hādhal-amra sharrun lī fī dīnī wa maʿāshī wa ʿāqibati amrī, fasrifhu ʿannī wasrifnī ʿanhu, waqdur liyal-khayra ḥaythu kāna thumma arḍinī bih.

O Allah, I seek Your guidance by virtue of Your knowledge, and I seek strength by virtue of Your power, and I ask You of Your great bounty. You have power, I have none. You know, I know not. You are the Knower of hidden things. O Allah, if in Your knowledge this matter is good for me in my religion, my livelihood and my affairs, then ordain it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if in Your knowledge this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood and my affairs, then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and ordain for me the good wherever it may be, and make me content with it.

At wudu

بِسْمِ اللهِ

Bismillāh.

In the name of Allah.

At wudu

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

Ash-hadu an lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, wa ash-hadu anna muḥammadan ʿabduhu wa rasūluh.

I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
