مَا شَاءَ اللهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ
Mā shāʾallāhu lā quwwata illā billāh.
This is what Allah has willed; there is no power except with Allah.
Why, when you entered your garden, did you not say: This is what Allah has willed; there is no power except with Allah. (Al-Kahf 18:39)

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ، وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ فِي الْمَهْدِيِّينَ، وَاخْلُفْهُ فِي عَقِبِهِ فِي الْغَابِرِينَ، وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهُ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ، وَافْسَحْ لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ، وَنَوِّرْ لَهُ فِيهِ
Allāhummaghfir lahu, warfaʿ darajatahu fil-mahdiyyīn, wakhlufhu fī ʿaqibihi fil-ghābirīn, waghfir lanā wa lahu yā rabbal-ʿālamīn, wafaḥ lahu fī qabrihi, wa nawwir lahu fīh.
O Allah, forgive him, raise his rank among the rightly-guided, and be a successor for him among his surviving descendants. Forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds, and make his grave spacious and illuminate it for him.
When Abu Salamah died, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came and said: O Allah, forgive Abu Salamah, raise his rank among the rightly-guided...

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ، نَسْأَلُ اللهَ لَنَا وَلَكُمُ الْعَافِيَةَ
As-salāmu ʿalaykum ahlaḍ-diyāri minal-muʾminīna wal-muslimīn, wa innā in shāʾallāhu bikum lāḥiqūn, nasʾalullāha lanā wa lakumul-ʿāfiyah.
Peace be upon you, O people of the dwellings, the believers and the Muslims. And we will, if Allah wills, join you. We ask Allah for well-being for us and for you.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to teach them that when they went to the graves, they should say: Peace be upon you, O people of the dwellings...

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا فِيهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهَا وَشَرِّ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ
Allāhumma innī asʾaluka khayrahā wa khayra mā fīhā wa khayra mā ursilat bih, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharrihā wa sharri mā fīhā wa sharri mā ursilat bih.
O Allah, I ask You for its good, the good of what it contains, and the good of what it was sent with. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of what it contains, and the evil of what it was sent with.
When the wind blew strong, the Prophet (ﷺ) would say: O Allah, I ask You for its good...

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ
Subḥānal-ladhī yusabbiḥur-raʿdu biḥamdihi wal-malāʾikatu min khīfatih.
Glory is to Him Whom the thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels, out of awe of Him.
Whenever Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr heard thunder, he would stop speaking and say: Glory is to Him Whom the thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels, out of awe of Him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا
Allāhumma ṣayyiban nāfiʿā.
O Allah, make it a beneficial rain.
When the Prophet (ﷺ) saw rain, he would say: O Allah, make it a beneficial rain.

اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ، وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ، وَالتَّوْفِيقِ لِمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَى، رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكَ اللهُ
Allāhu akbar. Allāhumma ahillahu ʿalaynā bil-amni wal-īmān, was-salāmati wal-islām, wat-tawfīqi limā tuḥibbu wa tarḍā, rabbunā wa rabbukallāh.
Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, let this crescent rise upon us with security, faith, safety, Islam, and with the ability to do what You love and are pleased with. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.
When the Prophet (ﷺ) saw the crescent, he would say: O Allah, let this crescent rise upon us with security, faith, safety and Islam...

When eating
ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ، وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ، وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ
Dhahab aẓ-ẓamaʾu, wabtallatil-ʿurūq, wa thabatal-ajru in shāʾallāh.
The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) broke his fast, he would say: The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.

بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ، وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ
Bārakallāhu lak, wa bāraka ʿalayk, wa jamaʿa baynakumā fī khayr.
May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and join you together in goodness.
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) congratulated someone who had married, he would say: May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and join you together in goodness.

بِسْمِ اللهِ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ، وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا
Bismillāh, Allāhumma jannibnashshayṭān, wa jannibishsshayṭāna mā razaqtanā.
In the name of Allah. O Allah, keep Satan away from us and keep Satan away from what You bless us with.
If a child is decreed from this union, the devil will never be able to harm that child.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'If one of you, when he wants to be intimate with his wife, says: In the name of Allah. O Allah, keep Satan away from us and keep Satan away from what You bless us with — then if a child is decreed for them from that, Satan will never harm that child.'
