The adhan alarm rings through Silent mode and Focus on iPhones running iOS 26.1 or later. On earlier versions Fajri falls back to a loud notification with a real adhan tone, which follows your device’s Silent switch.

Privacy PolicyFajri has no accounts, no ad network, and no server of ours collecting anything. Your prayer history, your streaks and your coordinates are stored on your iPhone and stay there. Prayer times are computed on the device — we never ask a server what time you should pray.
We think you should be able to check that claim rather than trust it, so our privacy policy spells out the handful of moments the app does talk to the network, and exactly what is sent.

The things people ask most before installing a prayer app.
The adhan alarm did not ring. What happened?
First check which iOS version you are on. On iOS 26.1 and later Fajri uses Apple's AlarmKit, which rings through Silent mode and Focus. On earlier versions it falls back to a notification, which follows your device's Silent switch and your Focus settings — so a muted phone will stay quiet. Also make sure notifications are allowed for Fajri in Settings, and that the prayer you expected has an adhan alert switched on in the app.
The alarm is too quiet.
The adhan rings at your iPhone’s alarm and ringer volume, which apps are not allowed to override. Raise the ringer volume in Settings › Sounds & Haptics, and make sure “Change with Buttons” is set the way you expect.
My prayer times look wrong by a few minutes.
Prayer times depend on the calculation method, and different authorities disagree. Open Settings in the app and choose the method your local mosque follows — Umm Al-Qura, ISNA, Muslim World League and others are included, along with the Hanafi Asr option and custom Fajr and Isha angles for regional accuracy.
Can I use the app without giving it my location?
Yes. Decline the location permission and search for your city by name instead. Everything else works exactly the same.
Does Fajri work offline?
Yes, for everything essential. Prayer times, alarms, notifications, tracking, the muṣḥaf and the adhkar are all computed or stored on the device. The only features that need a connection are streaming recitation audio you have not downloaded yet, and looking up a city name.
How do I change the language to Arabic?
Settings › Language. Switching between English and Arabic requires the app to close and reopen — iOS fixes the text direction when an app launches, so this is the only way to apply it cleanly. The app will tell you before it closes.
